About this role

Opportunity Snapshot

Pay: $30 - $60 per hour

Time per task: around 4 to 8 hours

Location: Remote, worldwide

You’ll need: Hands-on experience reading US SEC filings and familiarity with US GAAP

Your tasks: Write finance research questions with a verified, sourced answer, and check each one against what AI models answer

Scope of Work

You will work on questions about real US public companies. Each question points to information that sits in long filings or IR materials, or that requires comparing several of them to find the right answer.

  1. Write questions that require finding a specific figure in a 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, proxy statement, earnings release or investor presentation.
  2. Write questions where two documents show different numbers and the answer depends on knowing which one is correct (for example, original vs. restated figures, or adjusted vs. reported).
  3. Pay attention to period and document version: the right fiscal year, the right filing, the latest amended version.
  4. Test each question against current AI models and keep only the ones they answer incorrectly.
  5. Rewrite questions when the wording allows more than one valid answer.

What we’re looking for

Hands-on work with US filings in one of these backgrounds:

  1. Equity research or investment analysis (sell-side or buy-side) covering US companies.
  2. Investment banking or corporate development (M&A, equity capital markets), with experience in deal filings, prospectuses, ownership history and subsidiary structures.
  3. Credit or restructuring analysis, with experience in credit agreements, bond terms and bankruptcy filings.
  4. SEC reporting or audit (Big 4 audit, corporate reporting), with experience in restatements, footnotes and how figures change across filings.
  5. Corporate law or due diligence (securities law, KYC, investigations), with experience tracing entities, executives and related parties across records.

You should also be comfortable reading long filings, including footnotes and tables, and have clear written English.

How the selection process works

  1. Apply with your resume and a short profile.
  2. Complete the finance interview. It is a short conversation about your experience with US filings and financial reporting. You don’t need to prepare or write anything. Finishing it is what moves your application forward.
  3. Review. We check your experience against what the project needs.
  4. Onboarding and first task. If selected, you get the guidelines and start with an initial task, which is reviewed before you continue.
